I really expect us to sign a first pick centre back. It will be a huge gamble if not i.e. the Devlin injury solution is Consi playing right sided centre half and Reynolds playing left back (when Shinnie is deemed required in midfield i.e. 80% of the time in DM's mind).

I do think we'll sign another defender, but I don't agree it'll be a first pick.
I think we'll sign a Dom Ball type, a bench filler.
DM sees Devlin & McKenna as his central defence - he's pretty much said this

I think Tansey and probably Wright will be away/loaned so gives 14, 15, 21 and 22 kept as reasonably low numbers.

I'd give him a 6 month loan somewhere... not sure whether I'd do it first half, or second half of the season though. I'd maybe give him the first half of the season to stake a claim for a place and if he doesn't take it, put him out on loan in January to see how he does.

We don't have that many wide options at the moment - if you exclude May and Rooney who are not wide players even though they're used there, we only really have McGinn and GMS. I'd be tempted to keep Wright.

Tansey on the other hand isn't the level of player we need if we want to stay at the level we're at, or progress further. I'd keep hold of him until we get some additional midfield cover, but assuming that's coming, I'd try to offload, maybe a part exchange or swap type deal
