In all probability I'm speaking ****e but there is always a possibility of a deal with Celtic, could go as follows,
McKenna to Celtic and Hayes and Christie coming to us,play GMS and Hayes out wide with McGinn sitting in behind a lone striker.
As I say anything is possible.

This is a really strange one for me. From the club's perspective, if they have confidence to give him a new contract, what was all the Woodman business about - why not bring in an experienced guy as cover instead? From the player's perspective, why would he want a new contract? Plainly not going to be picked ahead of Lewis and this season has shown that even if Lewis is out chances are we bring someone else in. Has he no ambition?

It wouldn't surprise me as he could certainly do a job at Championship level. Having said that would we not want to move for another No 1 goalie as no harm to the lad but going with Rogers would be a reasonable downgrade on Joe

I agree. If and when Scotty McK leaves AFC, it should never be to them cnuts.

Regarding Hayes, that ship has sailed. He knows he'll never be as happy as he was here for those 5 years, but at 30/31, with a leg break behind him, its downhill from here, and fairly sure he'll head even further south to make a few bob more out of what is left of his career, if Celtic tell him ta ta.

In any case, they have doled out a decent wedge on him in terms of a fee plus wages, so will want to recoup a large dollap of that, more than we can afford.

Like most of us on here I'd like to see some young lads get a chance - like McKenna did this year.

Connor McLennan, Frank Ross, Seb Ross, Dean Campbell, Bruce Anderson, Scott Wright.

Recruit a couple of hard as nails 30 somethings that can help them along.

I hope O’Connor doesn’t sign a new contract,he played well yesterday but overall he has been a waste of a wage.

Seems pretty clear that in January he definitely wanted to head south.
Sounds like the moves or choices he’d thought he’d have, have not materialised.
Don’t see a starting slot for him.
I’d imagine Devin & McKenna were the central defensive partnership DM wants, and I don’t think he’s good enough to play in the “2” in midfield.
