Absolutely.
I’d say it’s a must to get in a pacey winger & a first pick centre forward.
May is done
Cosgrove may have some effectiveness but will not score many goals.
Rooney has being going backwards the last 18 months.
I’d even accept a dreaded loan for 12 months if it was a Moult type signing.

Don’t really need a number 9 if we actually play our number 9. Cosgrove ws decent last few games but its a hard watch. Watt can sign for a new club on friday but you would think if he was signing he would be doing pre season anyway so can count him out

1) offered a deal to david mcgoldrick but he has plenty other offers to consider
2) deal agreed for harrington to join montrose on season long loan.....2+2 = we must have a right sided defender all but tied up

We shouldn't be bothering with a striker unless he's coming in as a first choice. We only play one up front and have 3 guys (Rooney, May, Cosgrove) who can play that position and that position only. We also have McGinn who can play it if necessary, and Bruce Anderson who seems a decent prospect. Unless we get someone like Moult, or Boyce etc, spend the money elsewhere and give Rooney a few games - he knows how to score goals unlike the other two.
