I wouldn't say we are skint or broke, i just think Milne is a tight b*stard. The DNA thing HAS to work, if it doesn't then there will be an utter meltdown and they can wave goodbye to it, or anything like it in the future. There is still time to buy players with it and until the transfer window closes, we can only speculate. IMO, they have to get the signings they buy with it right and im willing for that to take time.

As for the Rooney thing, its all just a bit sad and a bad way to end his career. Letting go of someone with his potential is criminal and to think the amount of goals he can score while running in treacle is bloody impressive. He will be a huge miss and im pretty sure we will feel the affects of it instantly. We need an ideal replacement, but finding someone like him for free is extremely difficult, and something we haven't managed to do in 4-5 years.

Rooney leaving would be a blow because he is clearly the only striker we have who can score goals. However if he’s going to spend the season on the bench or on the left wing I would rather we sold him.

We need one or two players in before the end of the week. Dom Ball is a sensible signing to provide cover in midfield but he’s certainly not an exciting signing. At this point it’s an exciting signing we need to calm our fears for a tough start to the season.

I agree - the DNA thing must work.
The club MUST show that the DNA money IS making a difference.
Signing dross like a Nuneaton keeper who couldn't get a contract at St Johnstone, or a Hearts reject will not cut it.
    Milne, over to you.....

Just thought I'd cheer myself up a bit with a wee look at the executive lounge.

Looks like they've given up the ghost altogether.

I don't know what their actual team was but this was a prediction

    Rakovan
    Wardrop Murdoch Frans Booth
    Barton Rabitsch
    McMullan Stanton Smith
    Clark

As my Grunnie used to say, "There's always someone worse off than yourself"

Terrible management of our transfer funds and spending must be the fault behind all this fiasco.
If you are getting minimum wage then you don’t shop at Harrod’s. So why on earth is our club who have apparently very little funds shopping this window in the expensive English football leagues?
The ultimate reality of this window is that we are going to be ill prepared for the season ahead.

anyone who doesn't want to be at Pittodrie is of no use.

the argument about why he has expressed a desire to leave and whether he should be first pick or not is of course a different argument.
I made my feelings clear about May and Cosgrove starting ahead of him last season. F@cking daft.

We are away to sell our only out and out goalscorer who should really be getting assurances that he is the main man ahead of the hairy dumpling(who was atrrocious against a HFL team) and the big dumpling. Instead these dumplings will be tasked with replacing rooneys goals. Which i cant see happening

This could be a long season

I'll wager that May & Cosgrove will not get 15 goals between them, and 15 is optimistic, unless May gets on penalties this season.
