The A-League is pretty much the ideal location for any player without significant ambition. Wages are OK, the season only lasts 6 months, the game is played at a fairly comfortable pace and you get to enjoy the Australian climate.
If you're going there in the prime of your career it's fair to say you've given up on the big time.

If that is worth £20m, then McKenna is minimum £6m plus add-ons. The English transfer market has went absolute bonkers in the past 12 months, if we are going to sell our best players, we need to grab a piece of the action.
If Waghorn is going for £8 million then McKenna is worth at least £45 million.
