I never really take much from previous clubs / youtube clips etc.
Some players fit in well at differing clubs than others.

I'll look forward to seeing him in a red shirt and only assess how well (or not) he does for us whilst playing for Aberdeen.

Out of interest if you don’t really use form at previous clubs what would you use to decide whether to sign someone ?

I don't sign them.
I'm sure the club look at a number of historical factors, but I've seen enough youtube clips (which shows the highlights, but omits the lowlights) to reserve judgement until they actually play for us.
I've also seen players who have not done well at one club, suddenly improve at a different club.

The early clips reference was because it seems that was when he was younger. He could indeed be a very different player now, hence I’ll wait to analyse how he performs for us.

Not taking much from a youtube clip and reserving judgement until they play for Aberdeen does not mean you can;t comment on it.
