Devlin is as you say not a new signing.
How long before we hear our manager grumble about the availability of decent players to improve on what he has? I will just put it down to a lazy recruiting policy.
He may surprise us though and sign quite a few decent players who will take the league by storm with their free flowing attacking football.
Mind you if push comes to shove I reckon my comment on having a lazy recruiting policy will come to fruition.
I would say considering Devlin was injured when he signed he could be classed as a summer signing.
I would imagine he was signed in January instead of now was so the medical staff could work on his injury for the last 6 months.
Do players not need to pass a medical before signing anymore?
