We are about to sign a right sided defender in the next 24 hours, suspect he has just left Morcombe

Also heard we are back in for Gregg Stewart & hope to have another midfielder on board soon

Who’s the morcombe player?

Not fussed about Miller, never liked the guy but if he’s signed he’ll probably score more goals than May or Cosgrove and offer a bit more to general play than Rooney, so won’t be one of those outraged at his signing. Equally if he doesn’t sign I won’t be in tears.

Stewart could be good business if he can find form and fitness. Looks slow but great control and creativity and with a bit of confidence could certainly add something to the side - added bonus that he’s been here a season already so won’t need time to settle in like others will.

They also released a righ sided centre half called Max Muller (German) be he recently signed for Astoria Waldorf

Mitchell Perry Lund is an English footballer who plays as a right back for Morecambe on loan from Doncaster Rovers (from wiki) so who would not have been actually released, more likely returned to his parent club.

When you look at the possible starting X1, where do we think that the STARTING X1 could be improved, and what would the priority be? IMO, it would be centre forward. The squad needs a couple of defenders, another midfielder and a right winger, but I think a really good no.9 (along the lines of a Moult) would be ideal.
Or left back.

For what it's worth, I don't think we'll sign a left back
It'll be a defender (right sided) that covers right back and centre half.
Possibly another centre mid.
A right sided wide player.
Another striker (with Rooney off loaded).

Think if we're to sign 4 more, it'll be 2 prior to kicking off the season, with a couple of loans on 31/8
