Again he is only 20,what’s stopping him from doing that now?

Can you only develop physically when you are 18?

Is he not on a 3 year deal? Get him out on loan for the WHOLE season now please (ie in a week or two once weve signed two more wide attackers)

BBC saying Daniel Harvie refused contract as wanted 1st team football.....will we be watching him be a top left back with Aye and securing a move to a higher level?

He’s not good enough for our first X1.
Put him on loan & see how he goes.
We need a good quality wide player that can genuinely challenge for the starting X1.
    Not a bench filler.

I’m not sure any players we sign now will be starters?

    I think the starting X1 is sorted in DM’s head;

    Lewis
    Logan Devlin McKenna Considine
    Gleeson Shinnie
    McGinn Forrester GMS
    May

The rest will be bench fillers IMO.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Dean Campbell plays more this season,he looked decent at Parkhead and it wasn’t as if it was a meaningless end of season game, he was brought on in a game we had to win so McInnes must rate him.

I heard Frank Ross done well at Morton last season so would expect him to also be a bench filler,as everyone keeps saying it’s better if these guys are coming off the bench/back ups than some loan signing from England.

Agree about our youngsters as opposed to Monakana types.
Ferguson & Dean Campbell will possibly be understudies to Gleeson & Shinnie in the “2”.
Ross likewise to Forrester at “10”.
Forrester hasn’t got a record for scoring from what I can see.

We need defensive cover. Right back, right sided centre half as Devlin is a huge gamble.
    Wide right too.
Striker (if needs be offload a striker if possible, most likely Rooney, although DM said he’s going nowhere)
Unlikely but I’d love Moult even if just a loan.

That all said, IMO we’ll sign a jack of all trades right back/centre half.
    A winger.
And a loanee when English window shuts (which this year is Aug 8th?)

If he’d developed physically at 18 we’d have a player ready to go now and we would know if he could make it or not. If he ain’t going to make it get Reid or him and concentrate on the next kid and so on. I must have missed all the great players that have been developed since he youth leagues started. What I see is a load of kids who can’t play first team football at 20/21 because they’ve just played at their age groups

    I'd expect
    Centre Back (right footed)
Versatile defensive player - probably this has Ball's name written all over it
Central midfielder (if Tansey is to be moved on)
    Winger
    Striker

5 more signings assuming we move 2 or 3 out on transfer/loan

Not sure a striker will be signed unless Rooney is moved on, which would be a 100% contradiction in what DM said.

Players that might be vulnerable to be moved on or loaned out would be Tansey, Ross, Wright & Rooney.
    More likely Tansey & Wright.

I still think if we signed Moult instead of May he wouldn’t have scored many goals last season the way we were playing.

Moult is very similar to Rooney in he won’t create much opportunities for himself, from what I have seen most of his goals at Motherwell came from crosses.

I can certainly see Tansey and Wright going out on loan unless they suddenly have a new lease of life when we start the friendly matches.

I don't think he'll mind running with four strikers but he can always loan out Cosgrove if the new striker was another target man.

I agree May and Rooney will be here this season.
