How come we can lose our top goalscorer, guys who assist with the most goals and potentially the best young prospect we've had for years but we can't lose our manager?

Possibly because we keep finishing second. It will show in time whether selling Rooney is a good thing or not. Im pretty angry at it just now, but if he is replaced with someone who can still bang in the goals, have a bit of pace and offer assists, then i will be good with it. McInnes CV in the striker market isnt exactly glowing, so i dont hold out much hope.

I was truly surprised he signed the extension to his original contract, thinking that he'd have used us as a stepping stone to to England. He'll be off when this one's up, of that I have no doubt. I still worry that he may not leave the SPL though.

of course time changes things and his kid is a bit older now, but maybe his wife\s preference to stay in the North East may still prevail

Did you know that Adam Rooney (18th on the all time goalscorer list) was an ex Republic of Ireland U21 international? You would have creamed yourself at the idea of someone so prolific and with those youth credentials coming to us.

Look higher up than McInnes. Surely he can only get players in that are worth what Milne affords him. We are not going to get top players in on the kind of money that Milne is making available. Plenty of time left in this window to get bodies in and hopefully known players who can walk into the first team but it just wont be in time for Burnley. It's as if Europe has been completely written off this year before it has begun.
