I don’t think you can argue that he’s been incredibly lucky with his timing here, facing a unique period in the history of Scottish football.

My gripe is that he never made the most of it.

    Edit - and he’s a Morton Hun w@nk
Think Milne is more responsible for not making the most of it. The January window in Ronny D second season was shameful lack of ambition when title was there for the taking with a couple of bold additions.

Not sure Hoban has played right-back - though transfermarkt says he has played at left-back. Has clearly had a torrid time with the injuries. Seems like a sensible no risk deal though the January recall is disappointing.

Cerny is a fine move for goalie back-up. Like others and well prior to Ward and Lewis thought was someone we could have looked at before.

Leaves all our mountains of notes in the bag for Moult, Christie and Hayes. Go-go Del Boy.

Stewart has been training with Brum U18s all summer (source: Garry Monk, their manager). They wouldn't be hard to deal with.

He's just very unprofessional, and I don't think we're interested. If we were going to sign him, then it's very likely we would have made our move before now.

More likely that it would be a transfer deadline day deal if other deals can’t be done.

Christie and Hayes would be better returnees. I have a vision of them goading Rodgers Pittodrie trackside after delivering and being hugely influential in a right good thrashing. Sticking the hand out for shake and quickly withdrawing it, flicking the v’s and doing the loser head point.

Unfortunately Brenda would be well down the tunnel before Stewart made it trackside.

Pretty sure the manager would be pushing for permanent deals and come August, both would probably prefer one-way tickets themselves.

Can you ask him if the lad has ever played at right-back. Transfermarkt reckons he’s played at left-back though right-footed.

The word on the street was that we DID make our move two weeks ago, but the transfer embargo placed on Birmingham have made them re-evaluate their entire squad, given they can't take anyone in.

Souleymane Coulibaly has been mentioned and apparently he has liked a tweet from a dons fan saying for us to sign him
