    Mick McCarthy

Has left Ipswich Town with immediate effect, seems strange as the other day both parties had agreed for him to stay on till the end of this season, I wonder if he's got something lined up ?

He suggested the decision to leave early was because of the “pathetic” boos from fans when he replaced Barry Cotter with Grant Ward.

“That was disgraceful reaction but listen I won’t have to listen to it again because that’s my last game, I’m out of here,” he said at his press conference.

    Top man Mick.

You want mid-table security in the Championship, he'll give you mid-table security in the Championship. You want promotion from the Championship, he'll give you mid-table security in the Championship.

He has been promoted to the PL twice in his 966 match managerial career and has an overall win percentage of just 0.3 less than our own SD.
I like Mick because he is quite straightforward in his love of the game.

When I say he's a top man I mean it, I love him, he tells it like it is. I always thought Wolves made a big mistake when they got rid of him, but you can't escape the fact that he's had half a dozen goes at trying to get Ipswich promoted, and failed every time. He hasn't taken them down though.
