    Went Phoenixes Rise

    SO,

There's still a notion that we will get to the playoffs. After that, G*d knows.

If we reach the playoffs, reach the final, reach the promised land, how will you judge the team with two players we have all at various times wanted to offload (Pearce, Baird) another that was a real bit of barrell-scraping (Ledley), and another that is playing his last hurrah (Nugget), let say against other teams that contained the silky-smooth assets of Ince, Hughes and an at-his-peak Martin, yet failed?

Rowett the other day stated that winning trumps everything else, if you can't win draw and if you can't win leave your all on the pitch, so he is clearly not bothered about any 'Derby Way' other than the way that achieves success.

After all these years of frustration, I'll take it any way offered and worry about next year in August.

    What about you all?

Don’t think most fans have wanted rid of Baird, Andy. Most sensible ones recognise the benefits of experienced versatility in the squad.
Regarding Pearce, there was a time last season when he was a candidate for player of the year...hopefully he’ll maintain his form this time having been given the chance and Ledley would have been a good signing if he wasn’t such a ‘sick note’.
My heart wants us to go up come whatever...my head says...’only if it’s sustainable’. A rerun of 2007-08 would be worse, imo, than failing to reach the play offs.

We would require pretty much a total overhaul rather than just a major one.

Carson, Vydra and Wisdom possibly the only 3 that could make the step up. A few more might possibly be good enough if in better squads but collectively the current side would be whipping boys.

Weimann has PL experience and goals and has been one of our better performers of late. Jury still out on Lawrence but his confidence must have improved with a couple of decent strikes.

Would be great to see what players we'd be going in for if we did go up! John Terry, Ronaldinho, Tim Cahill, Sebastian Abreu, to name a few! Oh and Joey Barton!

It's all hypothetical. because we won't be going up not with this squad It's a pity because I think this has been as poor as any Championship skill wise has we've seen for a while Usually the teams dropping down have dominated but not happened this year I will still be amazed if we make the playoffs With Mel saying we won't be spending in the summer could be quite a while before we challenge again

Agree mista, it ain't relevant because we won't be in the play-offs! At least then we can avoid looking dicks on telly in front of the whole nation!

Today could be the day we fall out the play offs
Currently Millwall are above us and Boro play Bristol later
Anything but a win today for us and that’s it
