    Contracts

    Robbo at today's presser...

"We're in negotiations with four players at the minute and hope to have some announcements at the end of the week"

I'd guess Cedric Kipre, Tom Aldred and Andy Rose plus one other.

certainly in talks with Kipre, Don't know who thew others are. If we do sign Aldred, who I think has been a great signing we will have a very strong back line when Hartley is fit. Robbo also said he expects the likes of main and dunne to be better players next season.

I would be very pleasantly surprised if we sign Aldred already.

Kipre seems a given, I reckon Dunne too and Magiure will get his extension after his debut. Of those out of contract, Rose would seem the most likely candidate to be fourth.

So the correct answer was one-year extensions for Kipre, Tait, Dunne and Bowman.

Disappointed (though not surprised) we're keeping Bowman but overall it's hard to call that anything other than a very good start to the weekend. I'd have happily taken Tait and Kipre on even longer, I suspect it's the players rather than us preferring the short-term deals in those cases.

I'm hopeful the extension for Bowwzza will spur him on to a great performance against Aberdeen. Stick 1 in the poakie son. Extending the 4 contracts on the eve of the semi is great news, and great management / PR by the club.
