And yet the Saudi's continue to bomb Yemen , killing innocent civilians with the weapons we sell to them .

We are no better than Putin or any other dictator in my opinion .

Nobody gave a shyte about Saddam gassing the Kurd's either because he was the west's chosen one in Iraq's conflict with Iran .

It's really got nothing to do with UK council elections, that is small beer indeed.

Can Syria be stopped from using chemical weapons by diplomacy?
1 Because Russia has nukes and are in bed with them.
2 yes we should have stamped it out before it got to this stage but America’s credibility after Iraq was destroyed (I blame bush)
    3 I hope it’s not too late
    4. Be nice if it could be stopped peacefully but with Russia flexing its muscle Assad doesn’t care since they see Russia as a do what i want and the bully who I do his homework for will sort em all out.

The only real question is how far will Russia go for Assad?

The Americans initially made the big mistake that kicked all this off.
When Iraq invaded Kuwait, the Americans and allied forces went over there to liberate Kuwait. The big mistake was then going out to depose Saddam Hussain, he was a brutal leader, but, Saddam kept all other regimes in their place, they knew Saddam and his army would instantly put down any threat of an uprising through death squads, Saddam put the fear of **** up a lot of potential groups, he ruled them all through fear.
Once the Allied forces captured Saddam and his henchmen, other terrorist groups seized the opportunity to jump into the shoes of Saddam, knowing they could run things as they wanted, thus hello Islamic State!.
Saddam would have crushed Islamic State, but with him and his mob out of the equation, Islamic State grabbed their chance, and the rest as they say, is history.

So Russia helps Syria to develop chemical weapons?

Did you know that the top five recipients of UK foreign aid in 2015 were Pakistan, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Nigeria and SYRIA

Any country with resources that doesn't want to use the Dollar and has their own bank this happens to. The countries without resources can commit as many brutal crimes against their people as they want and they're left to get on with it.
Putin is no more corrupt than us and the US etc... are, he doesn't want to play ball, he does what he wants which is a big no no.
Covered above but it needs to keep on being said, we sell weapons to war criminals.
