Only 205 of Labour’s 259 MPs obeyed Mr Corbyn’s order to vote against the government on Syria. That’s 1in 5 right wing ones then!

Right wing elite political hogwash - the site is becoming more of a political tool than a football one.
Can we just talk about round balls in future please.
Fresh news today but you will not hear it in MSM.The Red Cross and many journalists visited the site of the alleged chemical attack in Douma yesterday and found ZERO EVIDENCE of a chemical attack in their soil samples and other tests. The whole charade was a LIE yet again. If ever you ever needed proof that there is collusion between the establishment and MSM then here it is.No apology to Russia or Syria or even a headline to say we got it wrong. The lies are coming from the same people who sold us the lies on Iraq and its WMD.May has done exactly the same as Tony Bliar except it is even worse because she did not ask Parliament to vote on it.I am 100% sure that Salisbury is also a lie when they blame Russia.

A UN security team was shot at in Douma ahead of the planned arrival of chemical weapons inspectors, according to the head of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).

Chemical weapons inspectors were due to begin work in Syria today, 11 days after a suspected poison gas attack in the town of Douma. Syria’s UN ambassador had said the OPCW team would be given access to the site once a UN security team had deemed it safe.

Yesterday, Syrian government-run media reported the investigators were already in Douma. It followed a string of complaints by the US and UK that Russia was blocking the team from accessing the area, which Russia denied. Moscow also gave its “guarantee” it had not tampered with the site, amid claims from France that evidence was “very likely” to be disappearing from Douma as inspectors waited in Damascus.

    The Guardian
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...uma-gas-attack

The head of the largest medical relief agency in Syria claims that medics who responded to the suspected gas attack in Douma have been subjected to “extreme intimidation” by Syrian officials who seized biological samples, forced them to abandon patients and demanded their silence.

Dr Ghanem Tayara, the director of the Union of Medical Care and Relief Organisations (UOSSM) said doctors responsible for treating patients in the hours after the 7 April attack have been told that their families will be at risk if they offer public testimonies about what took place.

A number of doctors who spoke to the Guardian this week say the intimidation from the regime has increased in the past five days, a timeframe that coincides with the arrival in Damascus of a team from the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)

BEIRUT - ( APRIL 20, 2018 10:06 ) The Syrian army bombarded jihadists in the last area outside government control near Damascus overnight, as President Bashar al-Assad accelerated his push to retake remaining enclaves.
Air strikes and shelling hit the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp and al-Hajar al-Aswad area, part of a small enclave divided between warring jihadists and other rebels south of the capital, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said.

If the Palestinians could live in "Palestine", they would not be holed up in a refugee camp in Syria.

    Just saying!

And if the Syrians could live in Syria they wouldn't be flooding all over Europe, but they can't because of a vicious, bloody, lethal, civil war, financed, supported and encourgaged by the UK, US and Saudi Arabia for the purpose of bringing down the Assad regime. What a fecking good idea that Arab Spring was.

Israeli officials say Assad's remaining chemical weapons stockpiles did not suffer a fatal hit in the strike, nor was the Syrian president deterred from using them again; 'only a partial damage was caused to the chemical weapons stockpiles and launch capabilities,' one official says.

"If President Trump had ordered the strike only to show that the US responded to Assad's use of chemical weapons, then that goal has been achieved. But if there was another objective—such as paralyzing the ability to launch chemical weapons or deterring Assad from using it again—it's doubtful any of these objectives have been met." Another intelligence official added that, "The statement of 'Mission Accomplished' and (the assertion) that Assad's ability to use chemical weapons has been fatally hit has no basis."

Officials in Israel's defense establishment, including in the Mossad, estimate Assad has been able to keep 5-10 percent of his chemical weapons stockpiles after the signing of an agreement to disarm Syria of its chemical weapons in September 2013, and he has been making attempts to hide what's left.

According to Israeli appraisals, since the signing of the 2013 agreement, Syria has used chemical weapons in about 100 instances, with 100 additional inconclusive cases. Assad has reportedly used sarin and mustard gas in these attacks, but not VX, the most lethal of the chemical weapons in his possession, as he is believed to be saving it as a "doomsday weapon." The Syrian president also makes frequent use of chlorine, which the US failed to include in the original agreement. Based on the information gathered so far, only some of the chemical weapons facilities known to Israel were destroyed in the US-led attack.

In addition, the Syrian Air Force only suffered a minor hit, and so the Syrian ability to drop these chemical weapons on their targets has hardly been compromised. In addition, Israeli intelligence officials believe "Assad has not been deterred from using chemical weapons again" due to Trump's declaration that American forces would leave Syria soon and comments from other American officials that there were no future attacks planned.

"If you want to shoot—shoot, don't talk," quoted a diplomatic source. "In the American case, this is mostly talk. They themselves show actions are not going to follow," he criticized.
Balan, what was the Israeli intelligence position on Saddam's WMDs back in the day ? Did they know we were starting a war based on a non-existent threat, and coveniently forgot to warn us, or were they as useless as ours, and convinced there was something bad lurking out there.
