    Wigan Athletic Post Match Thoughts

A performance today to prove that we deserve a place in the playoffs and nobody will relish the thought of playing us? We're not quite there yet but the magic number is down to 6.

    Thoughts?

Sounds like a well deserved point, and I would have settled for 0-0 before the game, especially after seeing Warney's team selection. We only managed two shots on target, although Wigan only had the same, which is probably an indication of good defending by us.

Excellent result and sounded like a great performance.
PW (he's got no plan B don't you know?) changed things round and got a deserved point.
Steve Evans (he's a winner don't you know?) drops 3 points at home against 10 man Rochdale while "nice guy" Warney heads towards the play-offs.

It's not out of the question that our play-off place could be guaranteed by Thursday

    If:

We win at Gillingham on Tuesday

    Portsmouth lose at Bradford

Charlton fail to win at Shrewsbury

and Peterborough don't win at Blackburn on Thursday

    We are there!

Great performance. Tigerish, resilient when needed and even pushing for winner towards the end. Wouldn't have surprised me if we had as I think we deserved it overall.

Important thing is how much confidence this will give the lads as we approach the play offs. If we play like that over two games, it'll take an excellent team to beat us in getting to Wembley. The question is, will this team turn up for both games?!

Super result considering how our defence has been slated of late - shows we can do it when the chips are down, so perhaps bodes well for the play offs assuming we get there

When it really matters the lads show they can pull it off.

Well done to all the management, team and fans that managed to get there today to cheer them on.

    Roll on Tuesday!
