    Warney thoughts on Newell

Warney has just been on Radio DeeDah. Newell and Forde have not trained all week due to injury. Newell should be ok for Tuesday though .
He also said that Wood has got a badly cut lip from today's game , but also should be ok for Tuesday
He didn't say if Forde will be fit for Tuesday or not.

Barring any injuries in training Anthony Forde will be fit for Tuesday night.
Newell will more than likely be fit for Tuesday.
It will take more than a cut lip to stop Richard Wood from playing.

I particularly hope that Newell is back - not just for his work out wide, but he's more of a goalscoring threat than our forwards at the moment

Forde came on around 78 th minute so unless anything happens in training then I don’t see why he wouldn’t be fit, Just a precaution with Newell, I wouldn’t be surprised though if Warney doesn’t start him against Gills

Not at the match, so I didn't realise that Forde had come on as a late sub - good news!
I've got my ticket for Tuesday though.

Forde looked sharp and caused Wigan problems.

Newell not in the side? Not even at the game and Contract still not signed?
