I think net spend is the correct figure to look at, especially here when you´re looking at a player like Lukaku. Also, it´s what appears on the books at the end of the year and, therfore, what the club 'feels' in financial terms.

I added all January transfers in as well.Not just summer.I asked about our net spend because it will show how little Ashley has spent.Cant have it both ways.If net spend is important elsewhere it is here.Put our net spend with the supposed loan that never gets paid off and free advertising,TV money etc,I think it's even obvious to you that the fat one has done very well out of us.He is the only one connected with the club that doesn't care if we go down the odd time.Just pocket the parachute payments.
