The FA to consider selling Wembley...

So, the FA is to consider a huge offer to sell Wembley (which is much less than what they(we) paid for it)

I've got a better idea, why don't we get rid of the FA in it's present form, keep Wembley and run football as it should be, to benefit the community overall, to completely overhaul the way we manage football from the bottom to the top, and to ensure that our top league pays it's fair share to the English leagues to benefit English football as a whole.

Team USA home ground and we build a new bigger ground in Rotherham for our boys. Seriously tho it’s a bit messed up watching England team play in a American owned stadium no the line needs to be drawn somewhere

Should have been rebuilt in the Midlands so more people could have got to it easily.

Hope we get to Wembley but it's an awful stadium in an awful place and a long journey.

The first figure quoted was £500M, they've amended it for some reason.

You are right 500m for the stadium & 300m for the FA to keep the club Wembley debenture & hospitality.

Is the FA actually saying that there is going to be a new stadium in the Midlands though? Or is the FA just out to make a quick buck, with no thought about the long term future? Would this be allowed to happen in any other European country, or even in the USA itself?

Nothing at all surprises me with FA any more

    Useless set of ....

The deal, which would be worth an incredible £800m, could see an NFL franchise move to London and force England's football team on the road.

While Wembley will remain the home of English football, the deal is also likely to see England play more of their international fixtures on the road - particularly during the autumn during clashes with the NFL season.
    All about the money!!!

They will have to be another one built if this goes through, they will never get a crowd as big as they get at Wembley with touring. It’s a stupid idea.

When I saw a England qualifying game at Wembley it was full 89500 ish turned up, there’s not another stadium who can hold that many in England, closest is Man Us at 75000 and if they plan to tour then FA will lose money each game.
