    To appoint anyone else other than the Pearson/Shakespeare combination would be similar to the masterbating scarecrow...clutching at straws...

    Why I hope we don’t appoint Big Dave is that for me it just firms up that our Management are still not fit for purpose and I fear the worst next year.

    Surely any Management team worth their salt would have been working on a succession plan the minute they appointed Alan Pardew. You have to have a ‘what if’ alternative. What if he fails/leaves/dies etc who are we going to appoint. Surely we must at the very least have a short list and we should have been working on those names for some weeks now. The writing has been on the wall for a decent amount of time.

    If the plan was if we need to replace him then we put in Big Dave and see how he gets on then to be honest that is an absolute disgrace as a plan. We are a multi million business not a corner shop where you ask one of the family to help out short time until we come up with a new Manager sometime in the future.

    At times how this club is managed just beggars belief.
