    Brechin's last second tier win

and only one in their last 50 matches at this level

    Dundee 0-1 Brechin City
An early strike from Alex Burns earned already-relegated Brechin their first away win of the season.
The striker latched on to a throw-in from the left to glance the ball home from an acute angle.

Dundee's early attempts to get into the contest proved futile, although Stuart McCluskey's header from a Paul Dixon corner rebounded to safety off the bar.

But even in the second period it was lowly Brechin who created, and missed, the better chances in a poor game.

Dundee: Murray, McCluskey (Brady 51), Mann, Smith, Dixon, Marshall (O'Reilly 66), Kevin McDonald, Robertson, Robb, Deasley, Craig (Lynch 60).
    Subs Not Used: Britton, Law.

Brechin: Nelson, McEwan, White, Walker, Grainger, Callaghan, Hannah, Mitchell, Smith (Johnson 69), Burns, Hampshire (Gibson 88).
Subs Not Used: Hillcoat, Byers, Geddes.

    Goals: Burns 10.

    Att: 1,841

    Ref: S Duff (Scotland)
