    Accy Stanley

Well done to Accy Stanley on their promotion to Div 1 ..A great job done by their players, manager and staff,it's just a shame the Bastids are near certainties to go back up into the Chumpionship,IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT DERBY MATCH FOR THEM..

Yes alf, however, we will have the prospect of watching Stanley playing against Sunderland ---I just hope that it does not clash with a Clarets home game!!

I agree Alf, well done to Accringham Stanton, or whatever they are called lol.
We've never played them at any level before and if theres one thing to say about going daarn to Lg One, its the prospect of playing and visiting certain new grounds that season (as we found out 4 years ago when it came to playing Crawley & Fleetwood for the first ever time).

Well it’ll be burgers all round again. Well done Stanley and good luck in Div 1. It doesn’t seem long ago Owen Coyle arranged a friendly with them there to help them pay a tax bill and stop them going under.

And only slightly longer than that when Bob Lord wanted to purchase Accy Stanley for our Reserve football team.

I remember the original club going out of the league and going bust in the 60s.
Didn’t realise they only got back in Div 2 in 2005 or John Coleman first managed them in 1999 and has done so apart for 2 years 2012-4.
