    Rafa to Arsenal

Chronicle is having a fit over this... doubt it will happen. Rafa wouldn't leave us... would he?

I think this is coming about from Pundits saying it, i don't actually think Arsenal will go for him.

If he does, he does. Newcastle United soldier on regardless just the same as if any player who is an idol moves on.
It would be nice to see Rafa stand by his earlier ethics about his love for the club and fans and city and stay on to try and finish a job he set out to do and have the chance to be come a true idol of the fans and potentially end up with his own statue...because one thing's for sure, he'll have to pull up trees by the forest load to get the approval and ongoing approval of Arsenal fans...especially if he starts off as negative as he did with us.

What? Arsenal fans want victories, Wenger has given them attractive football and they're not happy.

That's what fans do. It's called being too used to something and wanting change, regardless of what it appears to outsiders.

I honestly don't see him leaving. If he has a meeting with Ashley that doesn't go well, that's most likely the only way. That being said, Arsenal are most likely going to hold onto Wenger for another season, deserved or not.

So if we start playing attractive football but lose a lot, then you won’t be happy either? i.e. the opposite of what you’re crticising Rafa for now?

The point is simple. We were playing totally unattractive football earlier and losing.
We are now playing more attractive football as of late and are winning.

I agree with your second statement but not the first. I think it’s more accurate to say that we were playing defensive football and not getting humped by anyone.

Wouldn't say we were playing "totally unattractive football" we weren't playing well, fair enough, but teams go through spells where this happens, and then they come out of it, its called sport, and happens in EVERY sport. The additions in January have made a big difference imo,and hopefully we will sign at least 2 of them. Havent seen enough of Slimani to judge yet.
