Key fixtures to look out for over next 7 days involving above teams: (top 9 teams in BOLD) are:

    Saturday 21st April
    —————————
    Fleetwood v WIGAN
    Northampton v PLYMOUTH
    PORTSMOUTH v CHARLTON
    ROTHERHAM v Bristol Rovers
    S****HORPE v Walsall
    SHREWSBURY v Bury

    Tuesday 24th April
    —————————
    Bristol Rovers v WIGAN
    Doncaster v BLACKBURN
    Rochdale v PLYMOUTH
    SHREWSBURY v PETERBOROUGH

What does this mean for us :

PORTSMOUTH & PETERBOROUGH can no longer catch us.

Charlton can only get 1 more point than we have now.
Plymouth can get 6 points more than we have now
S****horpe can get 3 more points than we have now.

    However :
Charlton still have to play Blackburn at home and Portsmouth away.

Plymouth still have to play us at Home Park and also visit S****horpe

S****horpe are at home to Plymouth.

This does not include the other banana skin games.
Charlton’s other game is at Rochdale, who are fighting for their lives so hardly a gimme.

Plymouth still have (in addition to our visit) have to visit Rochdale & this Saturday visit Northampton who are in last chance saloon.

S****horpe on paper have the easiest run in but two of their other games are against teams with something to play for.
At home to Walsall and away at MK Dons.

In summary we need 3 points to be sure but in reality 1 point should be enough, bearing in mind we have a 12 goal difference advantage so save for a major swing in the last 3 games.

Of course we might not need another point if Charlton don’t win at Portsmouth at the weekend.

If this happens we will travel to Plymouth on Saturday week having already qualified.

A point we be enough 4 th place is ENOUGH though we need to win to keep momentum . Cannot see Plymouth beating S****horpe away or Charlton beating Blackburn either . With Scunny 3 homes game that's a big advantage for them . Set s up a local play off match and getting up at silly Oclock to get a ticket again .

Mathematically we still need 2 points pokers. Yes we have a better goal difference but if we were to lose our last 3 games and Charlton were to win their last 3 as they would have to that would soon be eroded. Admittedly though it would be a big ask for Charlton to do that. Every team they are playing all have summer to play for and are no mugs.

Yep 2 points for certain playoffs. Not 1 as PMS says or 3 as Nardendee states

The only reason I mentioned 1 point is the goals difference. I do accept that in the strictest sense we are not there with 1 point but as good as.
Believe you me I am not counting my chickens. After 1973 (I posted a while back how we snatched relegation from the jaws of safety) it’s not over until it’s over.
