my money will be on a relegation battle next season , with this current squad and manager no question whatsoever.

beating a team who are nigh on certainties for relegation, is no cause for celebration, in my book, after the season we have just endured. we have finished 12th this season , and nowhere near the promotion places once again.

you can only beat the team in front of you and we won. We also have sufficient wins this season to be mid table. Any team with lots of injuries and suspensions will struggle and we are far from the finished article. They should have stuck with TC for a whole season. They now need to decide if PH has their trust and if somback him for a whole season.

heckingbottom is worse than christianson lol , he as had the same squad lol

you cant blame injuries and suspensions on the run leeds have had since christmas , your talking crap once again. There is no quality players in this side. Thats the real problem , nothing to do with injuries. Lol

whats your excuse going to be for jansson and saiz disappearing in the summer? Lol

you really need to wise up very quickly , because without massive investment in the summer , this team are going to be in a relegation battle next season, no two ways about it fella. Lol

Biggest mistake Radrizzani made was his statement about targeting top six. Which was fine, if we made it but only fuelled disappoint and mockery when we didn't. Making the season seem worse than it is.

Also some of the contracts we've dished out:

    Felix Wieldwald contract 2020

    Andy Lonergan contract 2019

    Vuron Anita contract 2020

    Laurens De Bock contract 2022!!!!!

    Ezgjan Alioski contract 2021

    Kalvin Phillips contract 2021

    Hadi Sacko contract 2020

    Jay Roy Grot contract 2021

    Pawel Cibicki contract 2021

    Caleb Ekuban contract 2021

    Those contracts Phil .......

Players under the age of 24 have specific contract legislation.......... which can kick in for contracted parties.Hope this below may help better understanding of the Leeds situation ............ particularly the Academy players.Note the Danny Ings Burnley/Liverpool conundrum in below document.

    http://fullcontactlaw.co.uk/2016/11/...rs-24-mystery/

    Legally ....

The FA of each country has its own internal laws, but there is almost complete commonality amongst the important provisions those laws. The international body FIFA controls how the clubs interact. Of course, one of FIFA’s most important roles is controlling transfers (in our English vernacular “sales” of players) including player loans. The main laws I've gone over in the past on this Forum but they are like a constitution - in that there is almost no detail, but the principles are there to be filled in by the relevant FA, club, agents and players. The FIFA document is woven into the DNA of clubs, agents and players...............

In general, players must have written contracts that are filed with the relevant FA. They are required to have a term that is no longer than five years.

Both the club and the player are entitled to terminate the contract before the end of its term but only for just cause. For the avoidance of doubt, merely wanting to play for another team is not just cause for the player to terminate their contract.

For the club, just cause normally is defined in general terms and usually is triggered by off-the-pitch actions by the player (e.g., criminal activity, tardiness for practices or matches). So that rant of the Rad was made for purpose and subsequent senior player(s) 'rumblings' made public a while back had purpose too.

Absent detailed provisions in the contract, players basically only have two options to terminate for just cause.

First, the club must pay the player, and pay them on time. If the club does not do that, unsurprisingly there is just cause for the player to terminate.

Second, there is a fascinating provision that a player can terminate his contract for just cause if the club do not play him in at least 10% of the games of the season. That is formally called the “sporting justification rule”. I call it the “benching rule”.

Basically the player is put in a closet for the year often as punishment for something they have done. One example is Mamadu Sakho, who is a French national player and undoubtedly skilled enough to play and probably start for the Liverpool side. He did some immensely stupid things during the club’s US summer tour - Sakho was put in the closet for the first half of the season and then sent to Palace in January.

Note, if the club wants to keep the player but still punish them, it is easy for the club to avoid creating a “sporting justification”: just let the guy out of the closet for exactly (no more than) 10% of the games and then put him back in the closet. The twist is that players often have performance bonuses that of course require the player to actually be on the pitch to reach them. Also, the irony is that some players are put in the closet because they want to leave. Basically the club tells the player he is staying, and if he wants to actually get on the pitch and play football, he needs to stop telling everyone he wants to leave. Twisted, isn’t it?

And of those, only Alioski (maybe Phillips) would cause a moments hesitation in getting rid, if it wasn't for the costs of doing so (As detailed in one of Mrs Os' posts recently).

So if we said that on average, we have two years of all the above to "fund" if we can't sell them (and who the f00k would buy them???), that comes to around £20m just to get rid of the sh1te that Orta has seen fit to saddle us with (and yes, I mean Orta. Radrizzani writes the cheque maybe, but Orta is the architect of what could laughingly be described as a recruitment policy and it is he who is almost single-handedly responsible for the mess we are in regarding a bloated squad (which even the owner has acknowledged), and player wages spiralling out of control). £20m, for what? Just about nothing. And how much more will be available for replacing some of that lot with quality replacements, errr........not a lot (including the recent "windfall" from TV).

And now we hear the guy is staying

Remember that the coin has two sides - you didn't mention the players on reasonably long contracts who are actually worthy of their place in the squad:

    BPF 2020
    Pontus 2022
    Cooper 2021
    Ayling 2021
    Berardi 2020
    Forshaw 2022
    Viera 2021
    Dallas 2020
    Roofe 2020
    Saiz 2021
    Roberts 2022

Alioski & Phillips shouldn't have been on you list as they are worthy of a place in the squad.
Add Hernandez to that when he signs a new contract & you basically have a list of the players worth keeping ( plus the un-mentioned u23's )
