    Wenger

A grumpy b*gger at times, I know, and perhaps a bit too fixated with one style, but he transformed English football.
That team with Vieira, Touré, Bergkamp, Henry, etc. was an absolute joy to watch.
I hope he goes out with a Europa Cup win. He deserves it.

Luckiest manager in the game after initial early success. For a club like arsenal to go so long with the title is not acceptable. Mourinho was right, in the end he'd become a specialist in failure. Pretty football doesn't wash with me.

Cannot remember the year, but they once tore us to absolute pieces within something like 20 odd minutes . It was a merciless display.
All you could do was sit back and admire it (well I did anyway).

To balance the thread I recall a 1-0 win at Arseface int cup. He has been a busted flush for years and should have retired donkeys years ago.

Saxo - it wasn't just "pretty football". That team was brilliant. Wenger came from nowhere and proved that British football could match the quality of the best Continental clubs. I agree with Test that he clung on too long, but there is no doubt he changed the mindset.
Just look at Ferguson's tribute to him.
