My point is u have had 2 managers,numerous players signed and u are making out if u went up thru the play affs it wud be some massive shock.
U will be up against 2 teams who were in div 2 no long ago.
As for dundee,I agree we have also underachieved budget wise,diff is we have recouped a lot of cash with the hendry sale and have players like caulker,kamara,wighton who cud all be sold to balance the books.
Ur best players are loanees.

Its a decent point but we really are shocking our expectation has been shot to phuck. Not all our best players are loanees some are out of contract - stanton was POTY and is signed. Changed days with young kids to sell on. Good posts Eric.

united have massively underachieved with the squad we had at the start of the season then the signings we made in the window we should have been strolling this league but instead we find ourselves in a battle for 3rd and with small hope of going up via playoffs.

No be on here for a while,just a wee observation.
Is everything a one way street we us shedka?
U boys had by a country mile the biggest budget in the fizzy pop(a poor league at that).
Teams like livi,pars and prob even the prem play aff team wud love ur budget this season.
U have been able to strengthen in jan we a load oh players,then add a former rangers internationalist and a promising celtic player.
None oh yer rivals had that luxury.
In all honesty u really shud EXPECT, to at least make play aff final but obviousy underacieving massively.
U can play it down and right it off all u like but it is hurting.

It has been well documented what the events were that ultimately led to relegation. Im just not convinced that the managers since Sackie were backed as much as some people think. Sadly it has taken 3 managers and relegation/biggest budget, for someone to come along and sell the final set of bricks, then decide we have wasted our money recruiting the wrong type of player!

Yes we recruited to strengthen, with a load of mostly as per usually unfit players who were returning from injury. This was further compounded by a lack of game time and it wasnt until Ralston and Moshni that the right type of player turned up.

Yes we should expect that we should have been home and hosed since Feb, but it doesnt hurt me as the first issue has been sidelined and we have made it to the playoffs so there is still a chance. Just not convinced we will be meeting you guys next season!

2 teams that not so long ago were also in the top league and have since gone through admin! Just proves that no team has a devine right to be in the top league.

As for loanees, the bigger problem we have is the short term contract mercenaries that have not performed anywhere near their potential and really need to have a long hard look at themselves!
