What makes you think theres a split in the squad?

normally id be more bothered about finishing higher to ensure second leg game at tannadice but going on our form since xmas that really doesnt mean as much as it did last season.

i would rest a few of the key players for livi game hoping some of the fringe players impress and show they can be counted on when called upon in playoffs.
Last season we "ran out of steam" v accies as we had played so many games in a short space of time and didnt have the squad depth to deal with the amount of games. this season we have a bigger squad and have options to change it up if we need it so imo we should be playing the sort of the team we played v st mirren and falkirk. only make changes to the team if really required! no silly tombola selection

we have players who can come in a do a job if we can cut out silly results like saturday. mcdonald, fraser, briels, matty smith and lyng could all become very important in the playoffs.

1st game of playoffs team should be

    deniz
    ralston moshni murdoch robson
    gilliespie
    king stanton flood mcmullan
    mikkelson

with only change being if durnan is available then move murdoch to LB.

Not a bad shout for the team to start play offs, however Fraser must be a consideration too

We Have we would have still missed fyvie and fraser as they were heartbeat at that time - how often do we get that! But Briels could have done a fyvie esque job or pushed willo out when required. I am not counting out us making a surge. I just seem to ignore the bad games now - which is most of the time

Fraser still looks abit off the pace after injury but will still play a big part in the playoffs. same with smith and mcdonald.

but i would go for the team who played v st mirren or falkirk

If Durnan fit same Murdoch LB. Is Durnan serious injury?
I think thats ok but if Fraser fully fit flood out Gillespie in middle and Fraser behind Phil.

Last year the team ran out of steam. It was thought that the Fizzy Pop games were our ruin.
It's therefore sensible to rest players for this next match.
Give players game time who need it.
Who knows they might want to play themselves into contention.

Let's try to pace ourselves through this.
Also we might play a different tactic.
We can save the great performances for when it matters.
    C'mon United!

Which United is going to turn up for this game and the run in?

There is still a chance for these players to redeem themselves ( edit - took that too far there, should read “ possibly slightly redeem themselves “ ) after a season of s.hite. So the lot of you get the finger out and make a difference with commitment, desire and effort.

My two biggest requests would be keep Deniz in the goal and ensure Scobbie is no where near the side. Also feel Fraser is not fit so keep him as a subbie to come on and change the gehm.

I have now managed to obliterate that QOS debacle from memory so actually looking forward to the Livi match on sat, slightly.

Astounded that you boys would rather see Murdoch at LB than Robson.

Is this based on your opinion of Doc as a player or having seen him at LB. I actually think he is the better option at LB as, for whatever reason, Robson aint been playing that well for a wee while now.
