Do we definitely know when we start in the Europa League and who our opponents will be?What are the dates of the games?Where can you view the draw?.

I know we have to finish 7th but this is looking highly likely now

    No B.B.
Nothing is decided apart from dates.

If we are sixth we go into group stages directly which start around 20 September. If we are 7th we go into the second qualifying round on or around July 26.
Who we play will depend on who else joins that stage and which teams win through from round 1. None of this can be sorted till the seasons end across Europe.

This gives on overall view of where things are now.

    Sounds just like EUFA.

Are we still sure we want to join in with this madness?

I watched a rather interesting BBC documentary on Baku last night, a Clarets inspired visit next May, will suit me just fine!

Just wondered on Liverpool Roma what if
Liverpool win the CL and Arsenal win the Europa Cup they should qualify for the CL next year plus the top 4 PL teams.

There are new rules this year which allow only 5 teams from any one country to compete.
    These are the rules

For 2018/19 qualifiers will be ...
    UEFA Champions League holders (1)
    UEFA Europa League holders (1)
Top four from associations ranked 1st to 4th: Spain, Germany, England, Italy (16)
Top two from associations ranked 5th and 6th: France, Russia (4)
Champions of associations ranked 7th to 10th: Portugal, Ukraine, Belgium, Turkey (4)

If the UEFA Champions League holders have qualified for the group stage via their domestic championship, the vacancy will be filled by the champions of the association ranked 11th (Czech Republic), who otherwise compete in the champions path
If the UEFA Europa League holders have qualified for the group stage via their domestic championship, the vacancy will be filled by the third-placed club from the association ranked fifth (France), who otherwise compete in the league path
An association may have a maximum of five teams in the group stage

So Man C Man U Liverpool and Spurs qualify from group stages and if Pool win their CL their place goes to a Czech team.
If Arsenal win the EC they join them.

In the Europa Cup the FA Cup winners will be one of the top 4 for the CL so the teams 5 & 6 go into group stages and the team in 7th goes into the qualifiers. But if Arsenal are 6th and in the CL do we go into group stages too and the team in 8th take over.
This doesn’t seem to stop that happening and we are allowed three teams in the EC.

This chart is a bit easier to follow.

Oh well it was a nice idea.
No chance of a group stage entry if the Gunners win it!
