    Chesterfield sack manager

Jack Lester did a good job in taking them down

Maybe they should have gone for King Ronnie, maybe they should go for the King who I’m sure would take the job on

Never did like Lester, he was one of the original divers.
Have to say he's done a great job taking the Dires to where they belong 😊

There are still some chessy fans who mention the 0-5 defeat live on Sky.
This is after their demise, our back to back promotions, three years in the c'ship and playoffs this season

Chesterfield could do a lot worse than Ronnie Moore

Doesn’t matter who is chosen, they can’t afford to pay them.

    Ditto rest of coaching staff.

If you bump into Tony Stewart, shake his hand and say thank you

It's hard to feel sorry for them considering the way a lot of their supporters gloated when we had our financial difficulties.
Karma is a bitch and what goes around comes around!

Yep. When we were in financial turmoil and having points deducted left right and centre, many of their fans wished extinction on our club. It's those people who I am now laughing at.
I do find it disturbing though, how quickly the owners lost interest and simply let the club rot. We are very lucky to have Tony Stewart.

They build a new stadium I seem to remember, next to an Asda I think.

I would expect that Chesterfield will go down the same route as Halifax and Chester, club goes out of existence and is reborn as a new club with the same name.
