    Youth setup - flack flying

AH seems to be having arguments on Twitter with various folks including Mick Leonard and others about the progress or otherwise of the youth setup at Notts. Anyone know what's going on?

There's one poster AH has stated he will not discuss the issue further with

I will not be engaging any further with you. I suggest you direct any further communication to Jon Goodman, Academy Manager

    How about Alex Howes (Spike)?
Happy with his education this year? Thought so. He’s done really well. Time to leave the past behind now Michael and try and be positive about the Club. We’ll never be as good as you were 😁

Bang on Alan, you won't for many reasons. You don't have the calibre of staff in coaching or recruitment expertise but thank you for recognising the fact 😀. All the best in the play offs, Kevin, Mark and Alan have done a great job for the club this season.

Damn rude and disrespectful Mick, and your cluesless about whos involved in the academy, the foundation phase is the strongest its been since the days of draper johnson, and the buzz is better than the awful atmosphere when you was running the academy #bitter

Did it ever emerge why Mick Leonard was sacked by our previous owner?

It's all sour grapes. U9's-U12's have shown a massive upturn.

AH has engaged in some pointless tit for tat on Twitter at times..but this will touch a nerve. He has every right to fight his corner..and totally justified.

The academy has some great staff and players. The futures bright.

Not to my knowledge. Some might have put his dismissal down to the general chaos that appeared to prevail towards the end of the previous ownership, but Mick Leonard's online comments don't paint a pretty picture of his attitude. Unprofessional to say the least.

I agree with snipe pie though. Alan should be above this kind of online squabbling which does neither him nor the club any favours. He says it's about connecting with the fans, but there are other ways to do that more professionally. I do think it's a bit of an ego trip for him.

It is not a good image for the club at all and both sides airing dirty laundry on twitter should have a long hard look at themselves.Chairman Hardy comes over very arrogant and dismissive of anyone on twitter who asks a question he doesn't like or who disagrees with him but ne needs thicker skin than that or should give it away.

Mick Leonard is bitter but he has right to be as he was stood down. He was very popular and ran a good system with good youth progress at the club.A young text book reading part time coach reported him for being too hard on players at a tournament overseas and so he was stood down and then let go. It was unfair and handled very poorly by the club at the time. Mick was awarded full unfair dismissal win months later and he was proven to have done nothing wrong and not warranted to be let go by the club but obviously he loved the club and is still angry judging by his tweets.

Didn't Mick Leonard get into some trouble for running some youngsters into the ground on a trip away somewhere leading to one or two of them passing out through dehydration or something?

Can we give any credit to Mick Leonard for actually bringing anyone through? Curtis Thompson and Haydn Hollis maybe if he had anything to do with them?

It's flak, btw, not flack, Old Pie. Worryingly, Twitter is becoming to Mr Hardy what Notts MAD was with Mr Trew.

having now read twitter and this thread it is not about certain people or players being good enough, the question was asked to Mr.Hardy what is his opinion of the treatment of the 3rd year scholars this season due to him constantly tweeting about youth and the class of 2018 the bottom line is he has never responded to the question WHY ? I watch our youth team when work permits for the last few years and last years bunch were not bad at all in particular the captain of the u18 this years are also talented
If the tweets are true that only after 3 weeks fitness training 5 boys were sent back to the u18 Mr Hardy as got to answer the question surely even to say this was not true
