The way to look at it is unless anyone knows what colour Arrol Johnston's kit colour happened to be then KOSB's kit was sky blue which couldn't be an away kit so Queens are as well going for the Dumfries FC maroon kit as their away kit (even though they'd no representative at the formation meeting for Queen of the South)...

Very rare to see a colour photo in those far off days but they often hand - coloured the photos and I have one of Vale of Nith done that way.

Nice to see that 2- 3 weeks after it was pointed out that the away strip is nothing to do with the 5th KOSB the
original posting has now been changed on the OS to that of Dumfries FC - and very colourful it is too !
