    The way to look at it is unless anyone knows what colour Arrol Johnston's kit colour happened to be then KOSB's kit was sky blue which couldn't be an away kit so Queens are as well going for the Dumfries FC maroon kit as their away kit (even though they'd no representative at the formation meeting for Queen of the South)...

    Have seen an old b and w photo of Arrol Johnstone a couple of years ago and the shirt was vertical stripes on white background

    Very rare to see a colour photo in those far off days but they often hand - coloured the photos and I have one of Vale of Nith done that way.
