A wonderful old photo of the Queens v Hearts cup-tie in 1952 I believe with a massive crowd of around 26,000. About three years behind my first match at Palmy - I used to sit behind the goal along with the rest of the wee boys. The legendary Roy Henderson was in goal.

I remember them old square cut goal posts - one visiting Motherwell supporter remarked that they were worth a goal of a start - never quite worked that one out

Probably to do with the ball hitting the right angle of the post and going into the net.
