Dunno why he would want to come here at the minute to be honest. We'd be a tough sell to anyone.

Agree Billy. I reckon we will need to sign 3 or 4 half decent players as some incentive for him to even consider it. Can't see him being the 1st off season signing...even though I'd love it to happen!

Will be a good start if true.

it could work in theory , he buys bartley for 6 million and then sells jansson for 10 million , radrizaani makes a tidy 4 million profit , oconnor then takes jannsons place in the back four, the problem will be wages and whether he will take a pay cut to come here.

That is presuming we will get Bartley, which (and no, I'm not Marley) is cloud cuckoo land. We won't pay £5-6m for anyone, we haven't got a budget big enough (and yes I know I'm not the club accountant, but the figures Mrs O put out about two weeks ago, which I think are "prudent", make large spending nigh-on impossible). We have too high a wage bill as it is, and getting rid of 6 - 7 players (and lets face it, we can all name that many that should be shipped out) is just too damned expensive, so spending on new is likely to be in the bargain basement again.

Said elsewhere that Orta cant lose, he spends and it goes t1ts up, he gets moved out and we spend another season going nowhere, he spends and some of the newcomers actually perform, we still spend the season going nowhere (because 2 or 3 good players won't get us anywhere near the playoffs never mind automatic promotion), but Orta suddenly has something to crow about (the law of averages says he will find someone eventually that is worth having). Make any wonder he didn't take the job at Deportivo.

Would show great intent and he had a good time here before. Why not?
