    Last match

We've had a really good last couple of months so the spirit in the squad must be good. So lets finish the season on a high and get our supporters to the last match of the season. The forecast reckons the weather will be fine and it's a bank holiday. Everyone should urge their mates, families, friends and colleagues to come and see out the season. Let's create a holiday atmosphere! Make sure we've all got our red shirts on!

I'll be there bringing a couple if not more friends. The shirt doesn't fit any more, must have shrunk in the wash but will give it a whirl if possible. I wonder if the good luck charm, MickSb will be coming?

Nice day forecast Mick perhaps even put your old team's shorts on?

Hi guys, still reading the messages but nothing much to add at the moment. I won't be going on Sat as its a non game for me and still quite expensive on that basis. Had it been a crunch match playoffs or even relegation, I would have.

Have a great time and the weather should add to the day..ATB everyone and look forward as all you do to next season..

Me in me shorts would need a police escort.... .

Just announced on OS: "Crewe Alexandra will re-create history against Cheltenham Town this weekend by naming a starting XI consisting of homegrown players.

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell will name his team from those that have come through the Academy system at the Football Club. There will be no debutants in the starting line-up.

The Football Club previously achieved the feat on the final day of the 2012/13 season when we defeated Walsall 2-0 at the Alexandra Stadium thanks to goals from Luke Murphy from the penalty spot and from substitute Chuks Aneke.

Current players, Ben Garratt (who was making his debut for the club) and George Ray are the only two survivors from that historic encounter against The Saddlers."

What do we think? I know we won that Walsall game, and this fits well with Sunday's game, but for me winning this game is the priority to go into the summer on a high. I suppose, though on loan, Shaun Miller can start, as an Academy graduate, but he'll be the only real experience, even though masses of others are regulars this season. Green, Porter, Bowery, Sterry, Bakayogo all on bench?

    So the team will be?
    Garrett
Ng and Pickering at full back
    Ray and ? At CH
    Kirk, Ainley, jones and Wintle
    Reilly and Miller

    And a strong bench!
And, the odds are now 15/8 for a home win, from 23/20.

I’ve been trying to work out who the 4th defender will be! Sass-Davis has been on the bench a few times so could be CH, or Ng could be CH and a midfielder play at RB. Not short in midfield, as usual - can add Lowery and Finney to Jimmy’s line up.

I would like to see Zooms get 10 or 20 minutes. He may not be the greatest LB we’ve ever had but he always gives his all and be damned entertaining, one way or another!! Would be great to give him a good send off.
