    All this nonsense going on and none of it need concern us, Sean is going nowhere. The only six clubs in the country where he can improve himself, are probably the only six clubs in the country that don't want him as manager, which is nice. Happy days.

    Sunderland have been given permission to speak to St Mirren boss Jack Ross about becoming their new manager.

    Ross, 41, guided the Paisley side to the Scottish Championship title this season, and has also had talks with English second-tier club Ipswich Town.

    Sunderland expect to appoint Ross on Wednesday, with owner Stewart Donald saying they had "agreed terms and the contracts are with the lawyers".
