I was chosen "at random" by UEFA to receive my Europa League Final ticket via my mobile phone as opposed to the normal hard-copy version.
This surprised me somewhat and made me wonder if I had ticked/unticked some box and also because I couldn't remember giving them my phone number. They assured me I was a random choice and told me what my phone number was - and it was indeed my number.
It would arrive today. It has.
I had to download an app
log in to my UEFA Account (password reset required - again)
key in the code they sent me
screen appears giving me directions on how to activate ticket by bluetooth when approaching stadium
Good job I have a smartphone. Pity it scares the boushka boushka out of me.
If this is the future all I can say is "Hello, Highland League".
