    Oxford game

Just finished watching. What an atmosphere! Congratulations to all the fans, as well as the manager and players.
As usual, we managed to create extra tension - this time with a penalty-miss (although that was more credit to Eastwood than an error by Mulgrew).
Almost scripted, actually, with Payne coming on to score against a former club. (It's amazing how often that happens!)
I thought it was interesting that TM singled out Evans for special praise before the game. I wonder if that was aimed at the many people who spent much of the season calling for Evans to be shipped out.
I suppose you could argue that Bennett, Smallwood and Evans all come into Mowbray's "soldiers" category. Perhaps it shows that having a creative central midfielder is not the be-all-and-end-all, as I've always tended to think. More than one way to skin a cat, and all that.
The virtually permanent presence of two defensive midfielders has enabled TM to play three attackers (usually Graham, Dack and Armstrong) in most matches. I doubt that was the plan in advance of the season, but injuries and lack of form on the part of some players led Mowbray to come up with an effective alternative.
I await the summer transfer madness with interest.

He Was brilliant aucks and wasn't afraid to push forward and also a mention to Nyambe on his return
He didn't look tentative at all I thought he was very positive and quite composed defensively.
