OK, well I thought it was funny. I guess I'm just showing my age.

Made me smile Swale, so I'm probably older than you! I think M*A*S*H was one of the first comedy (but in a subtle way serious) TV programmes I liked back in the 70s. Black comedy was a new thing back then, and it appealed to me big time. I think the TV series was better than the film, although I did enjoy the 'carpet and curtains' scene with Major 'Hotlips' Houlihan when I was a naïve ****ager back then! Different actress in the telly show, but I wouldn't have kicked either out of bed![/QUOTE]

I always thought his relationship with Chingachgook was a little suspect.

You've triggered a few distant memories with this topic Swale, and a bit of looking back shows that M*A*S*H was way ahead of it's time.
An absolute gem when we were suffering utter garbage like On The Buses, Love Thy Neighbour and Mind Your Language being passed off as 'comedy' over here. M*A*S*H was full of brilliant characters, like Corporal Klinger who frequently wore women's clothes around the compound in an attempt to get a discharge on the grounds of being mentally unfit for service! To introduce a cross-dresser into a TV programme in the early 70's and actually make people empathise with him was a stroke of genius.

I'd bang her - and MASH was my favourite show.

Will it be a permanent fixture (the Hawkeye, not the Notts v Coventry) or will it be removed after the game?

Removed, as it could cause Major Burns.

Not if it's operated by Radar.
