It is an interesting article JR and the word mercurial seems to capture Harkins succinctly. In my experience whenever he played against us he certainly stood out and physically he was a bald head and shoulders above most of the opposition players. The prospect of him and Dobbie in the same team is simply a mouthwatering prospect. Now if we could just persuade Joe Thomson to join the party????

Hiya Spike. Yes, it's a mouthwatering prospect of having two above average footballers in your team and hoping they can spark off together. As in everything, it's all about balance . Too many defensive mids and not much creativity or too many creative, not enough workers and therefore getting ovverun. It's all about the individual parts complementing the team as a whole . I'm quite excited about the kind of passes Harkins can put through to the athletic Lyndon Dykes. Now Naysmith knows where to play Lyndon, I'm looking for him to carry on the form he showed at the tail end of last season.

Harkins is a player that you hate when he is playing against us but at the same time would like to have playing for us so very happy to have him next season and really looking forward to seeing him play in the same team as Dobbie.
Dykes should hopefully keep playing up front as well as its his best position.

Still need to sign a couple of defenfers and does anyone know the injuy to Mercer.

    Most probably a metatarsal injury.
