• Friday 31st August draw for the 2018/2019 Europa League, draw made in Monaco at 12noon.
• Thursday 20th September Europa League Group stage match day one.

We would have been playing half a dozen pre season friendlies anyway. Anyone saying it would have been better if we hadnt qualified may as well say we have now reached as high as we will ever go and just become a mid table team forever.

There are two other dates as well, just to add to the confusion, the transfer window closes on August 9th, the date of the 1st leg of the 3rd qualifying round, at that point we might still be in the competition, or we might not, and on August 11th we have the first PL game, or we won't if we're still in the Europa League and thus played on Thursday night.
Wasn't life easy when we just nipped over to the Isle of Man for a few days, and sent the young lads up to Morecambe.

Only 6 places this year for play off teams -10 last year!
