At least the U-23 side will be tested like the first team next season, with promotion to Prem A. That can only be a good thing. Agree about the lack of wingers coming through. On that point but re the first team, I do think we will have a bid for Chapman. I'm watching what will happen with Boro. They are in the play offs. If they went up, I think we could get him easily. With his injury record it would have to be a knock down price. But personally, I'd prefer him over Armstrong (both would be good) I also think we could get Payne now. Huddersfield are staying up, so I think they would let him go. Maybe get him on a season longs loan? If we lost Dack, and had him and maybe got someone like Gallagher back from PNE (who we are interested in) who has lots of Champ experience, it could cover that position?
Slightly off-topic, credit it where it's due, Champs. I thought Huddersfield were doomed, given their last three opponents, so getting draws against City and Chelsea is pretty remarkable! As you say, that might help us.

A bit torn on Huddersfields survival. On one hand, I wanted it to go to the last day and stoke to play a dummy team against swans..

On the other hand, Wagner is a likeable manager and Huddersfield don't offend me as a team and set of fans.

I'm also quite pleased that Southampton survived, because theirs would have been a very strong team in the Championship.
As it is, I reckon West Brom might start as favourites.
Don't you reckon the PL is a strange place, Saxo?
Only the top six have a positive GD, and if a team had played out 38 scoreless draws, it would have survived comfortably - with the seventh best GD!

He will be a key talent champs and his ability to be a Jack of all trades is very useful especially with limited funds to spend.
