    Stavely

Still wants the Toon but not if the reported price of £400 million is true according to George Caulking of the Times.

    Is this news?

The old news is that the lovely lady only has £300m. Sadly, I reckon she can't raise a penny more. That makes me suspicious about how much she can back Rafa, who must surely want a committed £50m/year for the next 2 years MINIMUM. That's another £100m right there.

As much as I can't stand Fat Pig (not that he is investing even a penny more), she just doesn't seem to have the dough.

Can't see Fat Pig taking anything south of £350m CASH - no strings. Anyone offering £400m can have it tomorrow and given that she hasn't jumped the day after our status was secured, she's just blowing hot air in the press.

All true. But the club has become a different proposition as an investment since we gained safety. Some investors with cold feet might be warming up now.
Fingers crossed but I agree, a new owner needs to bring a lot more than just the sale price of the club to the table.

    she hasnt any money
she is using other peoples money

300 mill isnt the start from owning us
she will need half a billion

buy the club invets in the team

    200 mill over 2-3 seasons

not like we have assets we can sell
    no big nmae stars

    a manager on huge wages

hardly any way of increasing revenue other than the tv money
we sell out already every week

we may sell a few extra shirts

    ground naming rights maybe

500 mill yo maybe get into the europa league and with it the fixture congestion and increased aqud size in regards to depth of squad

the club isn't for sale, he doesn't want to sell unless he gets a dream come true offer.

And if he gets that offer it wouldn't surprise me if he held out for more because someone willing to pay that much will stump up a bit more.

Put it this way. If someone bought us who ran the club the same way as Ashley but was honest and communicative with the fans then I would see that as an improvement worth having.
