    Next up - Hamilton

Motherwell and Hamilton bring the league season to an end at Fir Park on Saturday. The local derby gives us one final tune-up ahead of next week's Scottish Cup final. - External Link

Certainly all minds are on the Final, but, as I read a 7th place position is worth 60k to the club. What are the cash proceeds for winning/losing the Cup Final next week?
I'm not counting tv or gate money since that is what it is regardless - just the cash prize for the Final game.
Last I saw in past years the Scottish Cup prize money was embarrassingly meager: 60k last year for the winner, 30k for the runner-up.
    Isn't that pitiful.
So beating Hamilton at home appears to add to the bank balance comparatively similar to beating Celtic at Hampden unless the SFA has put together a more appropriate sum this year.
    Anyone know what it is?

I've no idea what the prize pot is for this season but I doubt if it will be significantly increased. There are other financial benefits to be considered as well as the prestige to be gained by lifting the cup. The sponsorship and commercial side of the business should increase and there's also access to the Europa League prize pot.

Whilst hope we finish 7th and maximise our financial reward, it would be icing on the cake if Hamilton awarded a penalty and we can witness an inconsolable Dougie Imrie if misses. Nothing would please me more to rant and gesture wildly at the little turd full time. However, I know will not restrain myself to full-time and plan to begin my abuse when he exits the tunnel prior KO.

A really difficult game to call. A lot depends on who is fit and who the boss opts to rest. I can see Accies fielding a strong team as they'll be desperate to put one over us.

As we all witnessed - Slumilton were put firmly back in that little Tea Box they operate from. Time to move forward and hump the other slum dwellers !
