David Moyes ( Sunderland ) , Gordon Strachan ( Middlesbrough ) and Staurt McCall ( Motherwell ) all resigned as managers without seeking compensation when they realised they could not turn things around for their clubs.

Compensation or not he should realise that his methods are not working and he isn't willing to change them, so he should quit rather than blame players he signed and are just in the door.
Unhappy, unconfident players already and a miserable support, majority of which are desperate to see the back of him. Can't be a good environment to go to work.
