    Tommy Wright

I don’t like you but we need you now.

Pretty certain he would now come. Has realised the St Johnstone fan base is a joke and could become a hero at Tannadice.

    Make this happen plz chairman.

Long term we have to get back to the serious issue of preparing our own players at a high level and either using them or selling them on. The base has to be built first from the bottom up and the first team has to perform independently until a new youth system has started to bring some good quality through. If that means a temporary fix of someone like Wright or a similar hammer thrower for 2 seasons to get some steel and determination then fine but long term I would look to Steven Pressley or another similar young coach with exciting ideas and drive and motivation.

For all that the players were shyte throughout the league, for the fact they were gross underachievers, if there had been a manager who at any time could have squeezed even 5% extra from the players in drive and motivation then we would have walked the league or strolled the playoffs.

Would have needed a lot more than 5%, to make up 20 points.

A lot more than 5% missing when we were taking 6 from Falkirk and other poundings from Livi, St Mirren, Morton, QOS and don’t forget mighty Dumbarton.

Shocking goal keeping, piss poor defending, midfield posted missing, 1 up front, these were the things wrong with this season amounting to a good bit more than 5%.
