IT WAS DEFLECTED AND HE IS STILL CRAP.
But it was a world class deflection. 😎

Not sure im reading this correctly, is that like saying Englands black players are really West indian etc, this coming from our resident politically correct bod. If he qualifies for The Netherlands then he qualifies, surely?

No, you're not (reading the post correctly/in context). Jimmy, as is his habit, implied that my opinion of Grot was based on his nationality (Hailing from Holland, a province of the Netherlands). He doesn't, and my opinion of him as a footballer is most emphatically not based on his lineage, which is from Suriname, a legacy of Dutch colonialism. Okee dokee?

    Lol. And yes.

As said, I have no beef with where an individual player comes from, as long as they are good enough. I do think we should be providing more opportunity for domestic/home grown (Academy), players and it's good to see the likes of Edmonson given game time (pity most of it has been in meaningless matches in Burma), so the number of foreign players will always be an issue.

All of the above. If they are good enough (and they are), they are old enough
