Now is the time for the UN to step in and sort this quagmire once and for all.

A proper Two State solution, the "liquidation" of Hamas and Hezbollah, the immediate cessation of Jewish settlers thieving Palestinian land.

The urgent need for Israel, Syria and Egypt to come together and find a lasting solution to the Palestinian question.

    Pigs might fly!
You mention the UN as part of the solution, but no mention of Iran in all that BT ? A slightly flawed analysis imo, Syria for instance isn't a major player, the Assad regime only controls parts of the country and is propped up by Iran and Russia. Israel will talk to the Russians, attack Iranian infrastructure in Syria, but I doubt they lose much sleep over Assad.

    Today:
    Ahead of the expected riots amid US Embassy opening in Jerusalem and Nakba Day events, Air Force drops leaflets in Gaza warning strip's residents to keep away from border fence;

One of leaflets read, "To the protestors, you are taking part in violent protests that are putting your life in danger. Hamas is using you to conceal its failures and is endangering you and your family members. The IDF is prepared for any scenario and will act against any attempt to target the security fence or to threaten the forces or Israel's citizens. Hamas is using you. Don't be its puppets. Stay away from the fence and beware terror operators and violent rioters! Take care of yourselves and work to build your future!"

Another leaflet stated, "Hamas said it was going to improve the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. Has that been done? Hamas said it was going to built new medical and educational centers. Has that been done? Hamas said it would take care of civil affairs. Has that been done? Hamas said that participating in protests would improve your lives. Do you think that will happen?"

According to estimates, thousands of them will try to break through the security fence, which has not been crossed so far despite many attempts since the start of the "March of Return" campaign about a month and a half ago. Meanwhile, Arab newspaper Al-Akhbar reported Monday that Egypt had offered to open the Rafah Crossing regularly if Hamas stopped the "return protests." The Egyptians added that if the marches are halted, it would allow the transfer of goods through the crossing and take care of the strip's urgent needs, like electricity.

In light of Hamas' preparations for the US Embassy opening in Jerusalem and the Nakba Day events, Israeli officials believe the an escalation to war on the Gaza border is very likely. According to Israeli sources, Hamas is interested in creating a crisis, so that the international community would rescue the organization from its governmental and financial distress. According to estimates, Hamas won't hesitate to send children, women and elderly people to the fence to undermine the State of Israel's legitimacy to defend itself.

You won't read that in the Guardian, nor hear it quoted or referred to on the BBC.

I'm much more interested in getting my info from people like Balan, who are actually living in the middle of it all, and who actually know and understand the reality of the situation, rather than tired old pro-palestinian activists madquerading as journalists for lefty media outlets in the UK. They all think the situation could be resolved if only those nasty Israelis would act reasonably. Well yes, of course it could, a solution is so easy isn't it.

As US blames Hamas for Gaza deaths, world condemns Israel

UN Security Council to convene to discuss riots, deaths of 52 Palestinians.

The White House blamed Hamas leaders Monday evening for the deadly violence in Gaza earlier in the day—in which 52 Palestinians were killed and more than 1,200 wounded—and said Israel has a right to defend itself.

Conversely, the South African government has decided to recall its ambassador to Israel after issuing a harsh condemnation of "Israeli armed forces' violent aggression on the Gaza border."

A spokesman for Prime Minister Theresa May, meanwhile, said Britain was concerned by reports of violence on the Gaza border and urged restraint.

Elsewhere in Europe, the European Union's foreign policy chief called on Israel to respect the "principle of proportionality in the use of force."

Federica Mogherini said Monday that all should act "with utmost restraint to avoid further loss of life" and added that "Israel must respect the right to peaceful protest." At the same time, she insisted that Hamas must make sure demonstrators in Gaza are peaceful and "must not exploit them for other means."

The demonstrators want to enter a country they threaten to obliterate, what do they expect ? What therefore can Israel do? What is the solution to stop these idiots? Many cry ''stop stop '' but do not offer a solution?

An 8-month-old Gazan baby became the 59th victim of Monday's protests early Tuesday morning, dying from tear has inhalation, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
In addition those killed, nearly 3,000 Palestinians were wounded during the day's protests, which are set to continue on Tuesday in commemoration of Nakba Day.

What stupid people bring a child of 8 months into a war like area?
