Agreed. It’s a combination of the new prelim round knocking out a bunch of diddy teams hence each round is tougher this year plus the new club coefficient calculation puts us down the seedings this year. If we win QR2 we should be seeded next year in QR2

If we go by this years coefficients, reaching QR3 would put us in the bottom 5 of the seedings for QR2, so may depend on others results.

Seeding for QR3 this year is anticipated to start at 8.226, so a few years away from that unless we have a phenomenal run

Completely agree. For instance Stade Renbais finished fifth in the French league, haven’t qualified for Europe in last five years so zero coefficient points yet they go straight into Group stages. They could then lose all six group games yet would get more coefficient points than say Hibs who could win their first seven games but lose the eight and go out on away goals in play off round. It’s a joke.

Go back to a European Cup, Uefa Cup and Cup winners cup without seeding. Its really that simple
